About me

My life is a search for information, insight, and truth. A degree in Philosophy, a degree in Library and Information Studies, travelling, reading, and good conversations make me feel at home in the search.

Current Projects

Sustainability
I am growing food and raising chickens and experimenting with techniques for off-grid living.

Past projects.

Travels
I spent the summer of 2011 hiking part of the Appalachian Trail. When I left the trail, I found out that my employer lost the contract I had been working on. From November of 2011 through December of 2012 I explored the cities and wilderness areas of: Texas, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming.
Portland
Apart from several excursions, my main activity of 2012 was getting to know Portland, Oregon. In the summer, I was living and working in an intentional community, learning about gardening, landscaping, greywater systems, animal husbandry, place-making, and teamwork.

I have been involved with some websites, as outlined below:

CityRepair.org
The VIllage Building Convergence, a yearly confluence of community activities in Portland, was set to be underway in a few weeks, and they needed someone to update their website. I figured out their CMS and helped them organize a large amount of content.
C-GRS Website
I redesigned the Website for the Community of Graduate and Research Scholars of the College of Letters and Science at the University of Madison - Wisconsin.
Primate Info Net
As the Web Development Assistant for the Lawrence Jacobsen Library at UW-Madison, I developed and updated content for the world reknowned Primate Info Net Website.
School of Library and Information Studies student groups
The LITA-Student Chapter is the student group I chaired.
I was also in charge of the Website for the American Library Association-Student Chapter.
